JOSH STRETTON

Josh started his sporting career in the world of athletics, soon realizing that track n field was not for him. Spending many soccer games day-dreaming at the back of the pack “wondering what the surf is like”!

Josh loves living on the East Coast of Australia in Anna Bay, Port Stephens.

““Living in Anna Bay, Port Stephens at the age of 15 is awesome, jumping on my bike, riding down to my favorite beach break “Birubi”. The waves can be epic, perfect swell, wrapping around the rocks, it’s on and when it’s not I go down to One Mile Beach. Yeeww!!””

Josh has been competing since he was 12, through the NSW Surfing Grom Series, BL Blast Off, Club Comps, Regional and State Titles, achieving outstanding results. In 2015, he became part of the NAISH Team, taking my stand up to a professional level, launching the Hokua Keika SUP range internationally, and more recently become Team Rider for Steel Lewis Design Surfboards and Tsunami Surfer.

2017 saw Josh being excepted into the Hunter Academy of Sports (HAS) in the Elite Surfing Program for the 2nd year.
